2. In short
Your notes stay on your device. Crasti has no account and no ads, and it does not track you across other apps or websites. We never see your notes.
3. Data on your device
Notes (text, color, how many times a note is in the jar, optional progress text), the times you write, draw and complete them, and your settings are stored only in the app’s storage on your device. They are part of your device backup (iCloud or Google) if you have it turned on. If you delete the app, they are deleted from your device; existing device backups keep them until those backups are replaced or deleted. If you share your notes as text, you decide which app or person receives them.
Crasti uses the motion sensor only while the jar is on screen, so you can shake and tilt it. Readings are neither stored nor transmitted.
4. Reminders
Reminders are local notifications triggered by your device itself. There is no server and no push token. They never contain the text of your notes. The legal basis is your consent (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR), which you can withdraw at any time in the app or device settings.
5. Subscription and purchases
The subscription and the Lifetime purchase are bought and paid for through Apple (App Store) or Google (Google Play). We do not receive payment data. Apple or Google process your store account data for this – as they already do when you download the app – as independent controllers under their own privacy policies.
We use RevenueCat (RevenueCat Inc., San Francisco, USA; privacy: https://www.revenuecat.com/privacy) to manage subscriptions and purchases. RevenueCat receives a random, pseudonymous app identifier that is not linked to you, purchase information (product, purchase time, expiry, trial) and the store receipts, and for technical reasons your device’s IP address, device type, OS and app version and your store country. RevenueCat never receives the content of your notes. Legal basis: Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR (performance of a contract).
When the purchase screen is shown, the app reports this to RevenueCat with the same pseudonymous identifier, the time and the offer shown; RevenueCat records against that identifier that the purchase screen was seen. We only see aggregated numbers from this: how often the purchase screen is shown and how many of those views lead to a purchase. Legal basis: Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR (legitimate interest in a clear and economically viable purchase screen).
Third-country transfer based on EU Standard Contractual Clauses (Art. 46(2)(c) GDPR).
6. Retention
Data on your device stays until you delete it in the app or remove the app. Subscription information at RevenueCat is kept as long as needed to manage the subscription and meet legal obligations.
7. Your rights
You have the right of access (Art. 15 GDPR), rectification (Art. 16), erasure (Art. 17), restriction (Art. 18), data portability (Art. 20) and objection (Art. 21). You can edit and delete open notes in the app; completed notes stay saved for your year in review until you delete the app. If Crasti is locked because Crasti Pro is not active, you can share all your notes as text there. For anything else, write to info@honeyapps.de.
You may lodge a complaint with a data protection authority, for example the Data Protection Commissioner of Lower Saxony, Prinzenstraße 5, 30159 Hannover, Germany.
